Antje Wandelt Meets with the Director of DTIDZ, Jovan Despotovski

Antje Wandelt, Delegate of German Industry in North Macedonia (AHK North Macedonia), part of the global AHK network, held an official meeting with Jovan Despotovski, Director of the Directorate for Technological Industrial Development Zones. Despotovski informed Wandelt about the strong cooperation between the Directorate and AHK North Macedonia in supporting German investors in the country. He also shared updates on new investments and projects the Directorate will implement this calendar year. Antje Wandelt highlighted the growing interest of German companies in North Macedonia as an investment destination and sourcing market. Jovan Despotovski and Antje Wandelt will soon announce new successful projects.

From 7–11 July 2025, a German business delegation visited North Macedonia, Albania, and Kosovo as part of the Export Initiative Energy supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE).

Visit to the German Investment Iprotex

Antje Wandelt, Delegate of the German Chamber of Commerce in North Macedonia, visited the German investment Iprotex. Iprotex produces technical textiles and thermal insulation materials for the automotive industry in the "Technological Industrial Development Zone" and is currently planning to expand its investment. Antje Wandelt met with Iprotex Manager Blaze Levovski, who informed her about the progress of the investment and the expansion plans.

AHK North Macedonia Organised Trainer Certification According to German Standards!

AHK North Macedonia organised trainer certification in line with German standards in North Macedonia! Qualified and competent trainers are essential for the successful implementation of dual vocational education. For this purpose, AHK North Macedonia organised the ninth AdA-International trainer course from 6 to 11 November. During the 6-day training, 12 participants from the companies LUTEX doo Veles, LAMINATI KOM, Kiel Macedonia, KOSTAL MACEDONIA, DRÄXLMAIER Group, Vitaminka A.D., and Magna International were trained to become in-company trainers according to DIHK standards. The training was delivered by Dr Daniel Büttner, PhD, an expert with many years of international experience.

Visit to DRÄXLMAIER in Kavadarci

AHK North Macedonia & the German-Macedonian Business Association – DMWV visited DRÄXLMAIER. Antje Wandelt and Marijan Malinov visited DMWV member company DRÄXLMAIER in Kavadarci. DRÄXLMAIER is one of the largest employers in North Macedonia, with over 6,000 employees across two locations. During a factory tour with Lukas Mühringer, responsible for the DRÄXLMAIER plant in Kavadarci, we gained detailed insights into all production processes. In Kavadarci, DRÄXLMAIER manufactures products for various vehicle models in the premium segment.

AHK North Macedonia and the German Embassy in Skopje Visit Veze Sharri in Tetovo Share

Antje Wandelt, Director of AHK North Macedonia; Mr Otto Graf, Deputy German Ambassador; Marijan Malinov, Secretary General of the German-Macedonian Business Association (DMWV); and Marina Serafimovska, Advisor at the German Embassy in Skopje, visited the German-Macedonian investment Veze Sharri. Veze Sharri produces eggs, cured meat products, and is a pioneer in its field throughout the region. The company is also the investor and owner of a biogas power plant. Our delegation had the opportunity to visit the biogas facility as well.
