From 7–11 July 2025, a German business delegation visited North Macedonia, Albania, and Kosovo as part of the Export Initiative Energy supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE). The delegation consisted of six innovative German companies specializing in photovoltaic and decentralized energy solutions: Megger, Beka Versorgungstechnik, Sunset Solar, Change Energy Advisory, envelio, and ELTEC Solar AG.
Two central conferences on “Decentralized Energy Supply for Self-Consumption with Photovoltaics” were held in Skopje and Tirana. The events covered key topics such as floating PV systems, hybrid energy solutions, digital grid integration, and sustainable financing models. These gatherings offered a platform for sharing best practices and presenting German technological expertise in the field of renewable energy.
In addition to the conferences, targeted B2B meetings took place in Skopje, Tirana, and Pristina, facilitating direct dialogue and cooperation between German companies and local stakeholders from both the public and private sectors.
The delegation trip was organized by AHK North Macedonia in collaboration with eclareon GmbH, and with the support of DIHA – German-Albanian Business Association and the German-Kosovar Business Association (OEGJK-KDWV).
This initiative successfully fostered cross-border partnerships and created new opportunities for sustainable energy development in the Western Balkans.
